Site Contract

Since the beginning of the U.S. Department of Energy's involvement at West Valley, the Department has utilized a Management and Operating (M&O) Contract strategy.

WVNSCO
West Valley Nuclear Services Company (WVNSCO) is a member of the Washington Group and was awarded the original contract in February 1982.  WVNSCO has continued to operate under contract extensions since that time, the most recent extension occurred in December 2005 and the contract was extended through December 31, 2006. The WVNSCO contract was further extended through September 30th, 2007.

WVES

West Valley Environmental Services, a consortium of four companies including Washington Group, Parallax, Jacobs Engineering, and ECC was awarded a four year contract on June 29th, 2007 to perform activities necessary to achieve interim end state as defined by the DOE developed contract statement of work.

DOE
The Department of Energy issued a solicitation for performance of waste management, decontamination, deactivation, and disposition of facilities, and infrastructure/landlord activities at the West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP). Proposals have been received and are currently undergoing review.
